Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore serves more than 17,000 girls, ages 5 - 17, in 30 counties in northern and western Michigan. Girl Scouting helps girls DISCOVER who they are, CONNECT with others locally and globally, and TAKE ACTION to make the world a better place. With the support of more than 4,500 committed volunteers and 45 qualified staff members, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives, such as leadership, strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.
Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore is excited to announce the arrival of the council's new CEO - Gloria Lara! Gloria comes to GSMISTS with nearly 20 years of experience as a Girl Scout volunteer - most recently serving as a national board member for Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) and a past board president for the Metro Detroit Girl Scouts! Gloria will be instrumental in helping our council move forward in serving today's girls. Please join GSMISTS in welcoming Gloria to our council and to Girl Scouting in northern and western Michigan!
