Learn the basics of Troop Camping. Included in this training will be fire building, cooking, knots, equipment care, policy and procedures, skill progression, and other entry-level skills and knowledge you need to have a successful campout.
Cost is $10 per participant
Bring: Mess kit or unbreakable plate, bowl, cup; dunk bag (small drawstring laundry/mesh bag used for sterilizing); eating utensils, and pocket knife. Insect repellant and sunscreen optional.
Note: Dress for the weather - you will be outside; wear closed toed shoes/boots. This session is required prior to a troop/group camping trip. "Outdoor Education in Girl Scouting" book is recommended for purchase from the Shop. Contact the Shop at least two weeks prior to session to purchase via phone order and your pre-paid book will be available for pick up at your session.
